Beautiful, Charming, and Always Humble, TX

While its citizens aren’t ones to brag, the town of Humble, TX is renowned for its great mix of small-town charm and big-city convenience. Only a short drive away from Houston, Humble is a small town with plenty to do and lots to see. It was originally founded in the 1880s and named for one of its earliest citizens, Pleasant Smith Humble.

Oil was part of the story of Humble, TX from the very beginning, with its discovery fueling booms in the early 20th century. In fact, Humble Oil & Refining Company would later become part of Exxon. Today, reminders of the oil industry remain all over town, including the Shell Houston Open, a golf tournament played near Humble every year.

For weekends when professional golf isn’t on the cards, there is lots to see and do! The town has many beautiful parks as well as great shopping at Deerbrook Mall. Car enthusiasts will be interested to know that the only remaining private factory of the DeLorean Motor Company (the car from Back to the Future) is here in town.

And of course, given the beautiful Texas weather Humble gets all year round, taking a dip in the swimming pool is always a great option!
